Chapter nine

Rosie

My worries ebbed into the background, lessening with each of Wilder’s careful touches. I didn’t want to be handled so gently. I ran my tongue along his full lower lip, smiling as he gasped in what I hoped was a mix of pleasure and surprise. A heavy ache throbbed between my legs as his belt buckle brushed the seam of my borrowed pyjamas. Wetness clung to them already, like my body knew that this fine example of a man had been sharing my bed. His dark hair was soft between my fingers as I tugged him closer with both hands. Wilder took direction well, deepening the kiss immediately. It was my turn to gasp and moan as he licked his way into my willing mouth. When I leaned back, Wilder followed, not allowing a speck of space to form between our searching lips.

I smiled up at Wilder, enjoying the mix of joy and thrill that came with our newfound connection. His brown eyes looked warm in the firelight, lips parted as he sucked in deep breaths. How was it that this man had been unknown to me days earlier? Wilder wasn’t an unknown any longer. With every glance, it was as though an impossibly tight knot in my chest unravelled a bit more. Opening myself up to something I didn’t even know I was capable of feeling. He was kind and brave and funny, and I knew that something inside him was hurting. I knew that ache, and maybe we could ease the pain for each other. Replace it with pleasure. At least for one night. He groaned, the sound a sexy vibration as I pulled down the elastic of his boxers and wrapped my hands around his stiff cock. I squeezed him as hard as I dared, relishing in the look of bliss that crossed his face.

“Rosie,” he sighed. I loosened my grip and lazily pumped him up and down.
